The tool will change.
The thinking won't.

AI is 10% about the tool and 90% about the person driving it. We teach the 90%.

What you’ll learn

battle-tested in real Kiwi businesses:

Less time on admin

Faster, more confident research

Fewer mistakes - and the judgement to catch them

Time back for the work that matters

Better still, you'll learn to spot your own uses and keep finding wins long after the course - not a list of '101 hacks' that date in six months.

Whichever tool you're on, here's the full journey for each course:

Microsoft Copilot for Work
  • 1-2

    Prompting & safe use

Get Copilot working with your own emails, files and meetings from the start - just point it at them - and build prompts that land the result first time. Know the risks, and understand how your work data stays inside your organisation.

  • 3

    Inside Outlook & Word

Put Copilot to work where you already are. In Outlook: summarise a runaway email thread, draft replies in your voice, and check your tone before you hit send. In Word: draft from your own files, reshape clunky text, and grill a long document for the parts that matter.

  • 4-5

    Advanced prompting & power tools

Get sharper answers on the hard stuff - talk to Copilot instead of typing, point it at the right files, and have it pull together a properly referenced report or rough out images from a quick brief. (Powered by tools like Think Deeper and Researcher.)

  • 6-7

    PowerPoint, Teams & your data

Build a first-draft deck from your own documents, stay on top of busy Teams channels and leave meetings with the recap already written, and make sense of a spreadsheet - spotting the story in the numbers and getting the formula you couldn't remember.

  • 8-9

    Build reusable tools

Stop doing the same task from scratch - set a prompt to run on a schedule and email you the result, build a simple no-code agent for a recurring job, and save your best prompts so the whole team can reuse them.

  • 10-12

Everyday life, beyond & as a team

Take the same habits home, see how the big AI tools compare (and which specialist ones are worth a look), then turn your solo wins into team ones - shared prompts and a simple way of working everyone can pick up.

ChatGPT for Work
  • 1-2

    Prompting & safe use

Get ChatGPT pulling its weight from day one - ask plainly for what you want, and reach for a clear structure when the task matters. Teach it your context so it stops needing reminders, and learn what's safe to share before anything sensitive goes in.

  • 3-4

    Advanced prompting

Get noticeably better results - feed it your own documents and examples, steer its tone, and switch on its slower 'thinking' mode for the tricky jobs. Plus a clear sense of when AI isn't the right tool at all.

  • 5-6

    Build reusable tools

Stop re-explaining the same task every time - build small reusable assistants for the jobs you repeat, choose the right kind for each (a saved project, a custom GPT, a scheduled task), and share the good ones with your team.

  • 7

    AI for everyday life

Take it home - use ChatGPT by voice and camera for everyday life: planning a trip, sorting your finances, meals, fitness and fixing things around the house.

  • 8-9

    Make tools reliable & shareable

Make your tools trustworthy - fix the ones that wander off-track, give them the right files to lean on, and tidy your data so AI reads it properly. Then write them up so a colleague can use them without you.

  • 10-12

Beyond ChatGPT & working as a team

See what else is out there - how Claude, Gemini and the specialist tools compare - then turn solo habits into team ones: shared prompts, a few willing champions, and a simple playbook everyone can follow.

FAQs

Is this for me/my team? (and where do I start?)

Yes - if you’re AI-curious and use a computer or phone. Owner-operators, managers, EAs/ops, sales/client-facing, analysts, job-seekers and students all benefit.

  • New to AI? Dive in to either of our full courses (Copilot or ChatGPT)

  • Already using AI? Most learners still discover gaps in the foundations they didn’t know they had.

"Started off thinking that I might need to skip the first lesson as I felt comfortable with level of knowledge, but I soon realised that it introduced valuable new concepts." - Ben - Builder

Can I do both courses (Copilot and ChatGPT)?

Yes - your subscription includes both the ChatGPT and the Microsoft Copilot course.
Switch between them whenever you like.

Do the skills work with other AI tools?

Yes. We teach in ChatGPT and Copilot, but the prompting, judgement and habits carry across virtually any AI tool - including Claude and Google Gemini.

We've also got short micro-courses on other tools to help you transfer what you learn. Whatever you or your workplace uses, you'll get real value here.

Do I need a paid ChatGPT or Copilot plan?

It depends which tool you're using. Either way we recommend a paid plan.

ChatGPT: while you can follow along on the free version, a Business account is recommended - it gives you a good amount of usage, unlocks the smartest models and shareable assistants. It is also more secure - the Business plan doesn't train on your data by default (the paid consumer Plus plan does unless you opt out in settings).

Copilot:
in a nutshell, the free version is capable but lacks the ability to work automatically across your organisational data, runs out of messages quickly, and has somewhat limited access from within 365 apps (subject to change). You could see it as a free pilot. A learner on the free plan would still benefit from core prompting skills, as well as seeing what a paid Copilot license could do for them.

More specifics on Copilot free vs paid:
Copilot - paid licence: A paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence lets Copilot work right inside your Microsoft apps and reference your emails, files and meetings directly - which is exactly what we demo throughout the course.
Copilot - free license: all Microsoft 365 work plans include Copilot at no extra cost, and you can still do the course with it - all the core prompting skills apply. The difference is: the free Copilot answers from the web and from anything you open or paste in, but it can't automatically reach across your organisational data (emails, files, meetings, and more) the way the paid licence can. You'll also hit usage limits sooner. (Microsoft keeps shifting what's in the free tier, so this can change. It will still work in some Microsoft apps.)

Not sure which licence you have? Open copilot.cloud.microsoft and look in the bottom left - if it says M365 Copilot (Premium) you have the paid version. If it says M365 Copilot (Basic) you have the free version. Names subject to change.
